EPS

EPS is a file format used for vector graphics.

Unlike pixel-based files, EPS files do not consist of pixels but of lines and planes. Therefore, they can be enlarged discretionarily without reducing their quality or edge defintion. That's why EPS files are often used for logos, emblems and letterings that shall be printed or plotted in a large format.

EPS stands for Encapsulated Post Script.
