Masking Elements

Masks help to select specific elements of an image and to edit out or fade down others. Masking paths define an element for further editing and are used for creating different coloured versions, clipping or montage.

The huge advantage of masks is that the selected sections of an image do not have to be erased. The original is preserved under the masks.
